Review Guidelines
These guidelines apply to every review submitted to HostVeritas. Reviews that violate them are rejected or removed by moderators.
What Makes a Review Acceptable
Write about your own, first-hand experience as a customer of the hosting company. Describe the service you used, roughly how long you were a customer, and what went well or badly. Specific, factual reviews help other buyers most.
What Gets a Review Rejected
Reviews written by employees, resellers, or competitors of the reviewed company. Reviews containing personal data, threats, or profanity. Reviews about a different company or product. Duplicate or copy-pasted submissions. Reviews written in exchange for compensation.
Verification Labels
Reviews can carry labels: “email verified” means the reviewer confirmed their email address; “verified customer” means the reviewer submitted proof of service such as a redacted invoice. Unverified reviews may still be published but carry an “unverified” label. Proof files are never published.
Brand Responses and Disputes
Hosting companies with a claimed profile can respond publicly to reviews. Brands may report a review they believe violates these guidelines; a moderator decides. Brands cannot pay to remove negative reviews.
