Last updated: October 11, 2026. These terms govern your use of HostVeritas.net. By using the site, creating an account, submitting a review, or claiming a profile, you agree to them.
1. What HostVeritas Is
HostVeritas is a non-affiliate directory of web hosting companies. We publish structured company profiles, moderated customer reviews, and, where a provider participates, independently monitored uptime records. A listing is not a recommendation, rating, certification, or endorsement — see our About and Methodology pages for how the directory works.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts used to submit fraudulent reviews, impersonate a company, abuse the claim process, or otherwise violate these terms.
3. Company Listings and Claims
Unclaimed profiles are compiled by our team from public sources and may contain errors or become outdated; the "last checked" date on each profile indicates when it was last reviewed. Claiming a profile requires verifying that you are an authorized representative of that company, typically through a company email address.
A claimed profile confirms control of the listing — it does not mean HostVeritas has independently verified every claim, statement, or plan detail a company submits. Sensitive changes to a claimed profile pass admin review before publishing. HostVeritas may unclaim, suspend, or edit any profile that violates these terms, misrepresents another party, or creates a clear risk of misleading users.
4. User Reviews and Content
Reviews must reflect your own first-hand experience as a customer and must follow our review guidelines. By submitting a review or any other content to HostVeritas, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to publish, display, and distribute it on the site and in related marketing, and you confirm you have the right to grant that license.
We moderate all reviews before publishing and may reject, remove, or restrict content that violates our guidelines, contains personal data about a third party, is defamatory, or is submitted in exchange for compensation. Reviews represent the opinion of the reviewer, not HostVeritas.
5. Subscriptions and Payments
Hosting companies may purchase optional paid plans (profile tools, uptime publishing, Featured placement) billed monthly through our payment processor, Stripe. Payment never changes a review score, a trust badge, or the default directory order — see our pricing page for what each plan includes.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled from your dashboard. Except where required by law, fees already charged are non-refundable. We may change pricing with notice; continued use of a paid plan after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.
6. Uptime Monitoring Data
Published uptime figures reflect checks against one specific, disclosed endpoint and measurement period — never a provider's entire infrastructure, every customer account, or every data center. Uptime data is provided for informational purposes only and is not a guarantee of any hosting company's future performance or availability.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: scrape or bulk-extract site data outside our published feeds and APIs; submit false reviews or claims; attempt to bypass moderation, rate limits, or security controls; upload malicious files; or use the site to violate any applicable law.
8. Third-Party Links and Providers
Profiles link to third-party hosting company websites we do not control and are not responsible for. HostScore.net editorial content referenced on HostVeritas is separately attributed and reflects HostScore's independent assessment, not HostVeritas's.
9. Disclaimers
HostVeritas is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that any hosting company listed will meet your needs, and a listing — free, claimed, or Featured — is never an endorsement.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, HostVeritas and its owners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, your reliance on any profile, review, or uptime data, or your dealings with any hosting company found through the directory.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the site or a specific account at our discretion for violation of these terms. You may close your account at any time by contacting us.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will update the "last updated" date above. Continued use of HostVeritas after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
